NPD Position AllinAll Ingredients
AllinAll Ingredients was founded in 1993 and is an independent ingredients company based in Dublin. It supplies mainly processed meat companies in Europe and further afield. As part of its continued growth strategy it is now seeking to recruit an ingredient technologist to join its existing research team.
The ingredient technologist will join the technical department of AllinAll Ingredients, and be based in Park West, Dublin. The role will involve supporting the NPD/Technical Manager in the development of new products both in-house and from client briefs as well as supporting the quality manager in terms of writing product specifications, customer questionnaires and product testing, as required. The ideal candidate would have NPD experience from a food ingredients company and/or a processed meat/food product manufacturing company.
The role will have the following duties:
o Preparation of samples as directed by the NPD/Technical Manager
o Ensuring the quickest possible turn around time from receipt of sample request to the customer receiving the samples.
o Development of new product ranges e.g. glazes, seasonings etc
o Documentation of all trial/sample information and maintenance of a sample database.
o Liaise with suppliers in terms of information and samples
o Support technical sales staff in terms of samples and customer queries
o Customer Presentations
o Assisting the Quality Manager with any Quality System related duties, as required
The ideal candidate should:
o Have a proven track record of delivering on NPD projects
o Have third level Food Science qualification
o 3+ years experience in a food NPD environment
o Have a good knowledge of functional ingredients
o Have a good knowledge of seasoning blends
o Have excellent communication skills
o Be able to work on their own initiative
o Possess a good understanding of process and factory operations
o Be organised with effective time management skills
o Have good IT skills
o Possess commercial aptitude and awareness
o Possess an interest in food & food trends
o Be energetic and self motivated
o Be a team player
